I'd suggest that you first run Transmitter Gain Calibration on at least 160
meters.
K3 owner's manual, page 49.
Or run it on all bands with the K3 Utility Calibration tab, Tx Gain
calibration.
You'll need a 50-watt or better dummy load.

Subject: [Elecraft] 160m power output
I have been using my k3 through an amp when on 160m for several years
driving power of 40watt.
I started running barefoot recently and power output does not increase above
72 watt.
Any suggestions?
