Hi All
I'm looking for advice, as the stock market is not the place to be these days is investing in K3's the new way to make your fortune. Over here in europe I am susprised at the second hand market for K3's the seem to go for more second hand than when the were bought new. Forget gold and oil, K3's is where the smart money is these days. Obviously the K3 works much better after it has been broken in. Mine
should be worth a premium price for its lengthy run in. 73, Kevin. Might be so for a K3 or other E-gear, my K2 just seems to work better every time I turn it on, however it definitely is NOT so with all rigs. I aged a converted 40m ARC-5 in the basement for 35 years. Key clicks were the same in the NAQP CW [its final performance] as when I used it as my primary transmitter with a Lionel J-36 ... when key clicks were not encouraged but were tolerated. Admittedly, I did not age it in a French Oak barrel, but then I've aged a lot too, never in a barrel, and I just keep getting better ... well ... unless you ask my wife. :-) 73, Fred K6DGW - Northern California Contest Club - CU in the 2013 Cal QSO Party 5-6 Oct 2013 - www.cqp.org ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
