Bert,
I have been pondering your reflector note -- and as far as I know, there is
nothing on the KSB2 that is band dependent, it operates at the IF frequency
only.
Are you certain your K2 gives full power output with the old KSB2 installed?
Re-check to be certain.
The only potential differences could be in the firmware and possibly the ALC
circuits on the KSB2. Compare the ALC components between the two boards
carefully - perhaps you will find the answer to the mystery - and swap
firmware on the 2 boards to see if the problem follows the firmware. It may
have been on E-bay because there was some problem with it - my scepticism is
showing.
