4 circuit 3.5mm plug - KX3 Mic Plug?

Lu Romero - W4LT
All:

While looking for some hardware for another project here at
work, I ran across this plug in the TecNec catalog:

3.5mm TRRS Plug: 4 conductor audio/video plug. Tip, Ring 1,
Ring 2, Sleeve with Strain Relief - Rubber Gasket - Cable
opening: 0.14" - Stock # 30-701A - $3.49

Thought all you lucky folks that have KX3's would want to
know this information. TecNec stuff is rather sturdy and not
cheap Chinese hardware. I believe this one is manufactured
by REAN.

TecNec (Technical Necessities) is a wholesaler, but will
steer you to a dealer in your area.

I just bought a 4-conductor 3.5mm plug from Mouser.  Part number 171-7435-EX.  It is a Kobiconn and seems well made.  Price is $2.60 and they have over 8,600 in stock!
