If you recall, I
was grumbling about 6 meters with my K3 and faintly hearing signals. Today
we did a 100% check on everything and found bad coax, even though it was low
loss and expensive. Examination showed a slash in the coax halfway up to
85 ft. Replaced it with new and it now works very well with several
contacts. I have the preamp on order and soon it will be even
better. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions.
