If you don't need a 60' pole, but do need something
beefy... SteppIR has a 25' pole that is heavy duty for U$45 plus shipping and is worth looking in to... I have one of the SteppIR poles and its great for
supporting a vertical wire. But NOT a good end support for a dipole. I tried this and it was bent over about 90 degrees. Top diameter is about 1/2 inch....maybe a tad more. 73 Greg AB7R On Thu, 10 Aug 2006 07:50:15 -0700 (PDT) J F <[hidden email]> wrote: > If you don't need a 60' pole, but do need something > beefy... > SteppIR has a 25' pole that is heavy duty for U$45 > plus shipping and is worth looking in to... > > Cheers, > Julius > n2wn > _______________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Post to: [hidden email] > You must be a subscriber to post to the list. > Subscriber Info (Addr. Hi Greg,
I don't think the 60' pole would be that great for an end support either, it looks pretty flexible. The SteppIr pole is a lot stiffer than the crappie pole I have and a lil' longer. If someone needs something cheap, reasonably stiff, semi portable, you can't beat plastic electrical conduit tapered down... cheers, Julius n2wn --- "FISCHER,GREG" <[hidden email]> wrote: > I have one of the SteppIR poles and its great for > supporting a vertical wire.
