6m transmit issue

Mike Kasrich
Im going to read more on this thread but after glancing at it I went to
6m to see what if anything was happening here.  My 6m xmit does
unexplicably drop out. 100w to zero no warning no nothing.  It does
recover on it's own or through a band switch.

I know this is a great receiver but Im having some concerns about K-3
reliability.  Being a contester I need rock solid on this point.  Im
still having an intermittent txco problem also.  The txco xtal doesnt
seem to sit too well in the ic socket on the ref.  Im thinking out loud
here but I wonder why the xtal just wasnt soldered on the board in the
first place.

Re: 6m transmit issue

I just had the same experience with #202 and latest firmware. I went to
CONFIG:PA TEMP and CONFIG: FP TEMP to see what they said... both
appeared normal. When I got out of the CONFIG menu I tried it again
(Tune, 100 w -> Dummy Load on 50.090) and it stayed on with no drop outs
like before. After 2 minutes I manually turned off the xmtr.
Hmmmmmm.....
