700 Hz roofing filters

Lu Romero - W4LT
I agree with you, Karl.

I have been trying to figure out why someone would want a
700Hz filter myself.

When I want to tune CW "casually", I use my 8 pole 1.8 SSB
filters in the main and sub and tighten the DSP to around
700-800Hz.  Good dual use filter for me, very versatile!

Although I have been wrong before, it seems too "single
purpose" to me, but then different strokes for different
folks...

Why are these so popular? Please don't tell me they are
being used for ssb.
Just asking.
