A happy K2 owner who is turned off by all the K3 emails and all the bickering now present on this reflector

Jerry Deibel
Has anyone beside me noticed that this email reflector has really going
down the tubes since the introduction by Elecraft of the K3.  Before the
K3 this list had good info, but now!!!!!!!!!!!  I usually hit the delete
key as soon as the Elecraft reflector email comes up.

I just posed the following message to the reflector 5 minutes ago..

and I just receive this email, but not to the list, directly to me.

So, what are you trying to say, Jerry?  What's
supposed to happen as a result of your posting?

Obviously you're terribly unhappy about the list.

Wouldn't it logical for you to just unsubscribe if
it's so very annoying?  There are several ways
you can deal with it, but by your posting your
complaint you're part of the problem ... if there
is even a problem to start with.

The K3-related postings are just as important as
the K2 postings.

NEED I SAY MORE . THIS REFLECTOR IS GOING DOWN HILL VERY FAST.  NOT VERY
NICE PEOPLE HERE, AS YOU CAN SEE.

I agree, Jerry.  I'm new to this group and to HAM radio in general (K1 assembly currently sidelined by graduate school), and used to get a kick just reading through all of the daily banter and back and forth building and operating advice.  Reading this group's posts was the whole reason I got interested and excited about building and operating in the first place.  You all have been for me (and maybe other newbies) sort of "ambassadors" of HAM radio (and Elecraft).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing that kind of spirit again (either as soon as folks receive their K3s and get them up and running and chatting things up again, or even BEFORE their shipment comes in).  I've got nothing to go on but the great response I've gotten from them in the past and the amazing reputation they and their products have earned with you all over the years.  But it seems to me that Eric and Wayne and their team are working their tails off, and once things are on line again, we'll get to read everyone's raves and modification plans for yet another great product.

Hoping to meet you on the air soon...

Jay M.
