A simple request

Eric Swartz - WA6HHQ
Administrator
Guys,

Sheesh! - I spend the day off site at our subcontractor getting our K3
PCB manufacturing rate up and return to a pile of emails :-)

Please, let's end the pro/con K3 shipping status/delay discussions for
now. I think we've beat it to death, and I'm losing way too much time
reading it that could be spent getting you your K3s.

Also, as per the list guidelines, please do NOT directly criticize or
attack anyone on or off list, regardless of what they say. All it does
is further inflame the discussion, generating even more list email. And
it certainly is not in the spirit of Amateur Radio to do so.

RE: A simple request

Eric,

It may be warranted to have a moratorium on the reflector in order to let
you guys totally focus on the job at hand.

All of these emails are not producing anything positive for any of the
readers or participants.

My suggestion is that you may work with the moderator and look at an option
to announce shut down of this reflector for a few months, and maybe, adopt a
policy to just send out technical information bulletins that are useful to
your ever growing customer base, as required.

For years, we were able to buy new amateur radio equipment with no internet
free for alls.

The amount of useful information being posted for the original intent of
this reflector has diminished to almost nothing useful at all.

Thanks,

Jim
K4PV

Re: A simple request

Jim;

While interesting, this is probably not a very good idea since we
still do quite a bit of our support through this forum. You see, there
are quite a few of us Elecraft types who monitor the list, answering
questions or solving problems as they come up. There are now quite a
few products to support, and this is still the best forum to handle
that task. So while a knowledgeable (but growing) few are able to
field K3 questions, there are still many other products which will get
responses from others at Elecraft. For example, just ask a KRC2
question, and you will get my attention. ;-)

By the way, knowing how busy Eric, Wayne, Gary and a few others are, I
really believe they are doing a fantastic job in keeping up with
things. It really would be a big help if folks would keep list traffic
to more technical discussions at this point. I think we would all
appreciate it!
