AF1 and small speaker

dave.wilburn
I was considering getting an AF1 and using it, along with the K2 to
drive a small speaker here.  Possibly figure out a setup where I could
integrate the two into an enclosure, like on the Elecraft Tech Notes
page.  Has anyone played with this setup?  I only found a couple of
comments in the archives.

Another thing you might try.
I enjoy rummaging in my junkbox for odd inductors
and building passive audio filters.  You could build
one from the contents of your junkbox and include
it in a speaker cabinet with an audio amp.  Then
you would only have one loose item on the desk.
Good luck and 73

RE: AF1 and small speaker

Brett gazdzinski-2
I was looking through an AES catalog today
and noticed they have a speaker with built in
dsp for noise reduction, along with a 2.5 watt
audio amp.
GAP makes one called hear it.
SGC makes another, I suspect they are the same unit
with different names stuck on in China.
They get fair reviews on eham.

I like headphones myself, the big soft hifi kind that
cover the ears and block out noise.
