I'm unable to transmit an AFSK signal in DATA mode, although I can transmit via the same LINE IN in DATA A mode. The line output from my SignaLink USB soundcard does have the audio signal on it and is connected to the Line In mono jack on the K3. For MIC SEL in configuration, I have Line In selected. DATA MD is set to AFSK A and shows 45 bps. PITCH is set to 915-170. Using MMTTY software and the latest K3 firmware the K3 goes into transmit mode (audio signal is present on cable feeding K3's Line In) but no modulation. What am I missing?? I should mention this was working as early as 3 weeks ago and I have NO idea what has changed. Just reloaded the K3 firmware and checked all MTTY option parameters but all look good and as I mentioned..Data A xmits the RTTY signals but not AFSK. Is MMTTY set to transmit 915 Hz?

Wes is correct. Please make sure you check:
1. Baud rate on the K3 should be 45 (if that is what your software is using) 2. If you have the mark freq set to 915 Hz (pitch) on the K3 then your soundcard software for RTTY must also be 915 Hz. 73 Greg AB7R On Fri, Dec 17, 2010 at 9:51 AM, Larry K1UO <[hidden email]> wrote: > > I'm unable to transmit an AFSK signal in DATA mode, although I can transmit > via the same LINE IN > in DATA A mode. All fixed.. The only thing I did was reload my saved options file in MMTTY and all is well again!! Somehow something got scrambled.
