Hi all,
There has been a lot of posts lately of an apparent problem with the TX mic gain being low initially or after a recorded message finishes. I have never noticed this, but I have the exact opposite problem. Occasionally when ending an SSB transmission, the RX initially has reduced gain and I can see the S-meter decaying as the receiver recovers. It doesn't happen every time. I am not sure whether there was always a strong signal in the receiver immediately prior to transmitting when this happens. Anybody else experiencing this? Knut - ASB2TC |

Knut, The problem has nothing to do with the receiver. The problem occurs when the mic input is overdriven and the microphone AGC reduces the gain in the transmit audio path. Lyle is working on the problem. 73, ...
