AM Roofing Filter and DSP

Have the 6 KHZ roofing filter for AM, but widest setting for the DSP is only 5 KHZ in AM mode. Is this the way it should be or is there something that will allow the DSP to open up to 6 KHZ to correspond to the roofing filter bandwidth?
