ANT1 vs XVTR OUT isolation

cococosti

Hello,
I'm newbie of K3. I have a little trouble: when I switch TX to RX and RX to TX and I transmit on ANT1 (I don't have ANT2), on XVTR OUT I see that RF comes out the BNC plug. I have tried to see how much RF is on XVTR gate, but I don't have little power meters, so I have watched with oscilloscope. I have found about 14Vp-p (that means 490mW or 27dBm) but only in the time when I switch PTT (few milliseconds).
I have done all settings in CONFIG menu for installing an external transverter (and I had particual attention on these settings).
I have also seen on manual, at page 39, last paragraph, a text that warns about isolation of XVTR OUT vs ANT1 and vice-versa.
At now I don't understand if, when I TX in HF (expecially for contests), I need to unplug transverter from XVTR gates or not.
I am afraid to broke my 144MHz transverter.
Does someone has noticed this?
Many thanks for reading.
