ATU's [ Do I have a problem]

I've just completed my move to a 3rd floor seniors apartment. I've
managed to put my station [K1-4 & K2] back on the air.The window
ledge is 35' above ground. Using a BNC to dual banana plug adapter
I have built a 40m dipole. Each leg of which is 33' long. One leg to the
center [red] banana plug and the other leg [black] is laying on the floor.
K1 40m reads r 1.1 then r 1.0 K2 40m reads 3.4 - 1
K1 30m reads r 1.3 then r 1.0 K2 30m reads 9.9 - 1
K1 20m reads r 1.9 then r 1.0 K2 20m reads 9.9 - 1
K1 15m reads r 1.0 .............K2 15m reads 3.8 - 1
power supply E=13.2 vdc same antenna is used on both
K1 & K2. Since the KAT2 has a greater tuning range than
the KAT1should not the readings be closer or almost equal

RC,

It would appear that the KAT2 is attempting to tune into an open circuit.
Are you connecting to ANT2 and have ANT1 selected?  Or the other way around?
Check all your connections.
If you still have problems, tune the KAT2 into a dummy load and see if it
tunes properly to 1:1 - if not, you may have bad diodes in the KAT2
wattmeter or something else related to the wattmeter has a problem.
