Hi all,
Is there a current or planned use for the signals DIGOUT0 and DIGOUT1 on the AUX connector? I did a search of the archives for DIGOUT and found nothing. I have a need for a pulse to trigger an auto tuner when using the TUNE button and one of these would seem a good candidate. Knut - AB2TC |

Hi Knut,
in the current owners manual there is a short information about CONFIG:DIGOUT... which is not visible on my K3... maybe in the next MCU revision ---- DIGOUT 1 DIGOUT1 is a general-purpose open-drain output controlled by the CONFIG:DIGOUT1 menu entry. It can be controlled from a computer; refer to the K3 Programmer's Reference. A 220-ohm series resistor is included to protect the output driver. ---- Transverter Control Also, with KIO3 = TRNS or HF-TRNS, the DIGOUT0 line (AUX I/O, pin 6) will output 0 V when low power mode is selected for the current transverter band (CONFIG:XVn PWR). At all other times, DIGOUT0 will be floating (Hi-Z). --- Config-Menu DIGOUT{n} Directly controls two general-purpose digital output lines on the AUX I/O connector. {n} = 0 or 1. Tap 1 to alternate between the two. These are TTL-level signals with a nominal output voltage of 0 V (LO) or 5 V (HI). Recommended max. load is 15 mA (enough to power one LED, for example). ---- Thomas - DM7TN -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of ab2tc Sent: Friday, April 04, 2008 11:06 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] AUX I/O connector Hi all, Is there a current or planned use for the signals DIGOUT0 and DIGOUT1 on the AUX connector? Hi Knut,
here a message from Wayne... ---- Fri, 21 Dec 2007 17:42:20 -0800 Bob, KD8CGH wrote: >I also requested this a few months ago. The K3 doesn't support external >tuners very well. Hi Bob, Both a drop in TUNE power level and an external ATU trigger signal are on my firmware list. I'm trying really hard to do everything at once; someone recommended cloning. Anyone having expertise in this area should contact me directly. Do I get a per-unit discount if you can clone me twice?
