I do not believe an adapter from a Kenwood 8 pin mic plug to the KX3 mic
input is available, however, you can construct your own, The SignaLink
interface has nothing to do with what is required.
The Heil microphone uses only 4 pins. One for AF (Kenwood/Elecraft pin
1) and one for PTT (Kenwood/Elecraft pin 2) while the return signals are
on pins 7 and 8.
If you use a 4 circuit 3.5mm plug, you would wire from the tip to the 8
pin plug pin 1, and Ring1 to the 8 pin plug pin 2. Ring2 would connect
to the 8 pin plug at pin 8 and the mic return (8 pin plug pin 7)
connects to the shell of the 3.5mm plug.
If you use a stereo plug rather than the 4 circuit plug, both pins 7 and
8 of the 8 pin plug should connect to the shell.
