It is with mixed emotions I bid the reflector a fond farewell.
For the past 4 years you have entertained my questions and provided insightful answers and suggestions. The K# community is unique in the world of amateur radio today. No where is so much help and inspiration available for free - in the true amateur spirit. I must admit, parting with 4991 was not as easy as I thought, but I know it will prosper in its new home. Alas, I have been co-opted by the dark forces and have once again ventured into the realm of the rice box. Perhaps there is a K# in my future - who knows? I do know one thing, for sure, you will take me back with nary a snicker. 73 and thanks for all the fish, Tom, NG3V ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

K2 #4991 has a new home. I missed #5266 and took Tom up on his sales offer. Glad to be back in the Elecraft family! 73, Cary, K4TM K2-4991

I've built a K1, a KX1, 2 K2's and 2 K3's. Between each build was a
period of interest in other rigs. I just now finished my second K3. I always come back. There's something about an Elecraft rig on the desk that provides a kind of satisfaction that somehow can't be easily defined nor easily satisfied with other radios. Perhaps you'll find this to be true as well. 73, Doug -- K0DXV NG3V wrote: > It is with mixed emotions I bid the reflector a fond farewell. > > > > For the past 4 years you have entertained my questions and provided > insightful answers and suggestions. > > > > The K# community is unique in the world of amateur radio today. To those who responded on and off list - thanks for taking the time.
I almost certainly will return to the fold in the future (and probably not too distant future). Retirement looms overhead (less than a year, now) and the thought of weeks full of Saturdays inspires one to think of fun ways to fill the time. I had a lot of fun building and playing with the K2 and will no doubt return to that. Probably in the KX series for backyard amusement and boating on the lake. To those not familiar with the Doug Adams reference, feel assured that it was meant to thank everyone for the kindness and help. 73, Tom, NG3V -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of NG3V Sent: Saturday, July 25, 2009 6:55 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] Adieu It is with mixed emotions I bid the reflector a fond farewell.
