Adjust the level when the muting starts when scanning?

Jan, SM5FQQ
Can not find where/how to adjust the level when the muting starts when scanning. Now it stops for just noise. Anyone who knows?

Hi Jan,

The scan function sets its own threshold automatically. I have plans to
improve this further. But meanwhile, you can turn the preamp off or the
attenuator on (or narrow down the bandwidth) to change the threshold.

Today I also tried scanning for the first time.
Most of the time RX stays put and doesn't scan.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to use squelch as a variable threshold for the time being and find a smarter auto-threshhold later?

The only good HF squelches I worked with are "syllabic" squelch/scan systems (Very well implemented on maritime Sailor equipment!) Not fast but very accurate without "false" hits.
Sailor can scan on 6dB s/n signals which worked great for DX openings.
Their syllabic system works with a "frequency to voltage converter", quoted in manual:

SQUELCH
The squelch is voice activated, which is realized by detecting whether there is a change in the mean
frequency at the AF-filter output. The squelch circuit, which contains limiting amplifier, frequency to
voltage converter, voltage change detector, and hold circuit, generates a signal by which the microproc-
essor controls the squelch switch U07 at the receiver output.
