Advice: Antenna tuner of K2

Dick Wiltgen
I was wondering if anyone has used both the KAT2 and T1 with the K2 and is
willing to share the relative merits of each with me.
Mni tnx

I am using the T1 with a K1 and the only problem is that the K1 can not "talk to"
the T1, i.e. I have to re-tune manually every time I change bands. I believe it is
the same with the K2. Currently, there is only remote interface cable for the
T1+FT817 and that is why you mostly see the T1 reviewed by FT-817 owners.

I would strongly recommend you to use the KAT2 in the K2, KAT1 in the K1, and keep
the T1 with the FT-817 (or other qrp rigs without tuner). One could possibly also
build an interface for the K2+T1, but I still think that an integrated tuner would
be much better. The KAT2 may also have wider tuning range than the T1, although my
T1 has no problems in matching an open coax on 40m :o)
