All working :-)

Ian Maude
Hi all,
I finally fixed the problems I was having on the 160m alignment.  I
could not get 10W no matter how I tried.  Thanks go to Don, W3FPR and
Bob, G3VVT for their ideas.  In the end, I did not seem to be getting
any joy when tuning L3 and L4.  L4 I could peak but nothing seemed to be
happening with L3 so I took the heatsink off (yet again!).
Would you believe the fault had been there since I built the rig and I
had never noticed up to this point.  On terminal of L3 was not
soldered.  It must have been making a little on the through plating.
Once soldered I now could tune properly on 160m :-)
Lots of learning learnt!

Glad you found it Ian.

That again substantiates the advuse to builders who encounter a problem -
check soldering, and then re-check soldering.  Then when you have finished,
check the soldering!!!  Remember, the circuits do work as designed and
component failure is rare.
