Hey everybody.
Welcome home to our intrepid Dayton attendees. I hope to be at Dayton at least once in my life, but now to the crux of the matter. I plan to build a KX-1 next. I can't afford to get all the accessories at once, but I do want eventually to put in the 30/80 option, the ATU, and the paddle. So the question. Does it really matter if I put the 30/80 in before the ATU or visa versa. I suspect not, but I would rather save myself having to change any components on one just a month or so after initial install. (Cutting traces, changing parts, jumping microcircuits, etc). Thanks in advance for your advice and counsel. I already know I will be greeted by a wave of information which will answer my question. Best Wishes, Vin KR2F K1 s/n:1977 P.S. I PROMISE not to run this package over. Remember when I put the dummy load and RF probe package on my car's roof and drove away? _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Vin,
If you follow the instructions for the KXB3080 "to the letter", it will not make any difference... BUT -- there is some close fits between the KXAT1 relay cases and the LPF assembly for the KXB3080, so it would be better to build the KAT1 first, and then you can adjust the physical position of the KXB3080 to properly fit into the spaces while allowing the KXAT1 to still fit properly. 73, Don W3FPR -----Original Message----- Welcome home to our intrepid Dayton attendees.
