K2 sn 5486 went on the air this afternoon and got a good report. It is
complete and ready to go except that it is currently using the default
filter settings. Give me a few days of fun and I will get out Spectrogram
and go to work on them. I am super impressed with it, there have been many
improvements since I built my first one. Unlike my first K2, this one is
going to be a stripped down version. The only option that I am planning on
is Lyle's DSP. There will be no SSB, ATU, NB, Audio Filter, 60 meters, or
160 meters, and especially, no battery. Now that it is built, I am scared
to death that there will be an announcement at Dayton that will replace the
K2 but, what the heck, I'll get one of those too. 73
