Hi All,
I received my kit on Friday August 29 and spent this weekend putting it together (K3/100, KAT3, KBPF3, KFL3A-6k, KFL3A-2.8K, KFL3B-FM, KRX3, KTCX03-1 and KXV3. Yes, I had to hold off for one week as I could not block the time to do it. All seemed to go well, everything checked out along the way and it seems to work, except for a few setup/calibration issues that I can not figure out. 1) When I try to Calibrate the Reference Oscillator using Method 3, I can get to the CONFIG:REF CAL, I see 49.380.000 but when I "Tap 1" nothing happens? 2) High Power (50 W) TX Fain Calibration, it only shows 5.0W as it did with the (5 W) Calibration? 3) When in VFO IND, it says NO, when I try to change it to YES, it won't go, and it then shows "UNAVAIL"? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bob _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. You should read through your manuals and the errata.
Method 3 is not yet supported. However contrary to the beliefs of some you ARE getting added accuracy from your KTCXO3 it is a 1PPM reference rather than 5PPM. With firmware correction (to be added later) it should be able to reach 0.5PPM but that level has yet to be realized. VFO IND is not yet implemented in the firmware. To be implemented later For your HP calibration what do you have your tun pwr set to? Should be normal. If you have it set to 5 watts that may be part of your problem. Thanks to all who have responded in regard to the features which are not
yet enabled... I am sorry for being slow on the draw, I use to keep up on all the news and firmware stuff, but been too busy lately. HOWEVER, Still having the issue with the amp. YES, I have enabled it in the menu system. Also, I can not hear my voice in the off air tests through the monitor. Have you adjusted the MON level up? Hold MON and then adjust it to
where you can hear it. On Mon, 2008-09-01 at 20:49 -0400, Bob Leschyna wrote: > Thanks to all who have responded in regard to the features which are not > yet enabled...
