Any P3 Updates?

k7hbg @dslextreme.com
Hi everybody;
Well, it's Tuesday the 13th here and I see no further P3 news. Would like a
happy shiping thought if possible.
best Regards, Bob K7HBG

Patience is a virtue.

The P3 (and manual) will be available in due time.
Like as fine wine, it cannot be rushed.  Give the Field Testers time to
try it out and review the manual and then (and only then) it will be
released.  You will appreciate the product more after the Field Test.
Only the Field Testers will see the preliminary copies of the manual - a
lot of the Field Test effort is scrubbing the manual.

Hi Bob,

Our field testers are pounding on things as we speak. We're quickly
iterating on firmware, trying to keep up. The manual is mostly written
and should be available soon.

We may have something else to add later tonight or tomorrow regarding
the schedule.

I've been having a great time with my field-test P3. It's cool to be
able to see an entire band segment at a glance -- bands that "sound"
dead often don't "look" dead. I'm making good use of the P3's point-
and-click markers, and I'm quickly learning what different modulation
modes look like on screen. You can even copy CW signals off the
waterfall display thanks to the very fast sampling speed.

Eric posted the following on July 4th. This qualifies as an update in my
book.

"We're darn close and the P3 is proceeding on plan so far. Everything has
been released to production and we are just awaiting delivery of the
final production sheet metal and stuffed PCBs. We're also refining the
firmware as we go through field test over the next couple of weeks.
Based on where we were a week ago, my best estimate is somewhere between
7/15 and 7/25 for initial shipments. It will then take about 4-5 weeks
to ship all of the rather large backlog.

Also waiting (but patiently)
Bruce, N1RX

Blank P3 Cases

Julian, G4ILO
Is there any likelihood of blank P3 cases being made available in the future (as with the EC1, EC2) for people who would like to build their own matching accessories?

Not near term, but we'll revisit this as we get caught up on P3s.
