I'll be operating KX-1 #37 off of the beach of the North Carolina Outer
Banks. Listen for me from Duck, NC. I'll be using a 28' piece of wire supported by a fiberglass fishing pole and the Atlantic Ocean as my counterpoise. 73 Jeff K9ESE BB #7 >From: <[hidden email]> >To: <[hidden email]> >Subject: [Elecraft] Anyone planning on the Flight of the BB's? >Date: Tue, 20 Jul 2004 13:17:43 +0000 > >Wonder how many K2's, K1's, and KX-1's will be active as Bumblebee's this >Sunday? > >http://www.arsqrp.com/ars/pages/bumblebees/bb_rules.html > >73, John K7FD BB141, K2 nr 568 > >_______________________________________________ >Elecraft mailing list >Post to: [hidden email] >You must be a subscriber to post to the list. >Subscriber Info (Addr. I am planning to bike to Shoreline Lake, near the San francisco Bay, and
then operate /MM from a paddleboat with an SD-20 wire vertical with my KX1. We are going for a "dry" run today (yes on boat, no on radio). Anybody for a 15m/10m filter mod? Hi Larry,
If the WX be OK, I will be Bee Nr. 133 on Mt. Misery, Valley Forge National Historical Park. If it is rainy and looks like thunderstorms, I will work the contest from home. This bee has his yellow stripe running right down the middle of his back! Hi! I hope to be using my KX1 at 2-3 watts with 10 AA batteries into a VBWFPA as well as into an ordinary inverted vee. Hope I get you in my log! 72, Carter N3AO/BB -- Carter Craigie N3AO K2/100 s/n 678 K1 s/n 159 KX1 s/n 119 All my Email is scanned by ZoneAlarm -- -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:elecraft- Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Anyone planning on the Flight of the BB's? I don't thnk I'll hike in as much as I planned before, since I jsut got out of hospital, but will go a bit off the path to avoid the weekenders. -- John W2AGN http://w2agn.net _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. AA0NI - BB #30 - will be active from a city park (hopefully one with a covered
picnic table since heat indices have exceeded 100 deg F) in Oklahoma City. K2 #3421 with a buddipole (or buddistick), and maybe a long wire (100 ft) up around 10 feet for comparison. I might turn the long wire into a 40m full wave loop. Don't know for certain just yet... 72! Daniel p.s. Activity for BB #30 also depends on whether or not he's studied for his final exam on Monday evening (Assembly Language) and if any other social events pop up on his agenda this weekend. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
