Audio Distortion by DSP2

SHEAJOHNW
There has been minimal user feedback given on preferred DSP settings.

Try first setting the DSP2 to the Elecraft defaults found in manual table 7, if they are not currently set to those defaults.

Try reducing the denoiser decay setting to 07 for SSB as previously suggested by a user.  I have found that with my K2/100 and DSP2, changing the decay setting for SSB to 07 reduces noise significantly with minimal watery distortion of the RX audio.  It sounds to me that gradually increasing the SSB denoiser decay above 07 slowly increases noise reduction, but also increases audio distortion in my rig.  Reducing the decay reduces distortion, but also provides less noise reduction.  Pick the value that works best for you and your operating conditions.

With a SSB denoiser decay setting of 07, I can cycle through denoiser levels 1 to 4 without significantly increasing distortion impact on audio quality.

The findings of users with greater DSP operating experience and knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
