Coming home after the JW trip I thought it was a good time to do the Elecraft recommended mods. After doing the mods, I lost the audio in my SUB RX. It didn't happen right away, but after a few hours use. The mods I did was;
- K3 AF OutPut Mod
- K3 AF OutPut Mod
- Improving the Immunity of the Rear-Panel RS232 and Audio Connectors to RF
- K3 AF Mod
- K3 Negative ALC and Ext Band Data Pull-up Mods
In addition to this I installed the DVR and upgraded FW.
I have now been tracing down the problem to the Remote I/O module (the upper one with D-subs) as audio from the SUB RX comes back as soon as I remove this module. It doesn't matter if the KI03 Audio I/O module is installed or not, the problem appear as soon as the Remote module is inserted.
Has this happened to anyone else doing these mods? I suspect that it is related to one of the audio mods, but at this moment everything looks like it should according to the mod instructions.
Any input appreciated!
