Automatic mode switching

W7GJ, Lance
I am using Firmware release 3.11, and I notice - on 6m at least - the rig
automatically switches modes as I move from one part of the band to the other, and
when I tune down outside of the band.  And sometimes it just switches modes even
while I am not tuning past a band plan boundary!  How do I turn this feature off?

I have looked in my manual and in the release notes, and I can't find what it is
called or where it is.  But it was not a problem before this latest firmware release.
Thanks for any guidance!  VY 73, Lance

I'm not aware that this is a "feature" and my radio doesn't do this. Is is possible that you are using a rig control program e.g. HRD that is doing this from a computer?

Hello Paul,

Thank you very much!  Yes, you hit the nail right on the head!  No wonder I couldn't
find it in any of the K3 information!  I found that the Band Plan feature of my
TRX-Manager logging program was inadvertently set to "AUTO MODE" ;-)  MNI TNX again
for the guidance!  VY 73, Lance
