Best SDR Software on Mac with KX3

Craig Schroeder
Hi,

I'm interested in using my MacBook Air with the KX3.  Any advice on the best SDR software to use?

Thank you,

Craig

If you mean using the IQ output, I never found any that was satisfactory, although that was about six months
ago, there might be something better now. The best I found at the time was DSP Radio by DL2SDR which did
work but I found it rather difficult to use because the cursor position does not scale correctly with the
graphical pan display.

I ended up running the IQ to an iMic then to an iPad mini running iSDR. Even if I found a good SDR package
for the Air I might stay with this anyway because it keeps the broad view always visible even when the Air's
screen is already crowded.

As for the rest, I use fldigi for rig control, audio highjack to monitor the audio, and aetherlog for logging.

In the field, I use pencil and paper :-)

Good luck,
