Regarding the ongoing discussions about LDMOS cooling and fan noise, I ran across this new concept for a bladeless (at least the exposed parts) method of generating airflow:
https://www.dyson.com/fans-and-heaters/dyson-cool-overview.htmlI have no idea whether Dyson is considering their technology for electronics cooling, but to me there is at least some potential for further development in the future. In other words, it looks interesting, but of course it may turn out to be not practical, but the idea of up to 75% reduction in noise is intriguing.
