Bose Companion 2 and K3

Greg Mason

I use these through the headphone jack to mitigate rf. They work very well, but the wall wart is sensitive to rf through the speaker jack,

I also use the Bose Companion II with not a hint of RFI. I am feeding from
the rear Ext Spkr jack, I run 1500w on cw/rtty/phone with no issues.
They sound great for both K3 audio and music. For their size they pack some
punch.

Re: Bose Companion 2 and K3

Jim Low man
Glad to hear that.  I have the "Chill Pill" speakers that either Wayne
or Eric recommended for the K3, but I may want something better.

Bose is a favorite brand of mine.  I have a pair of their
noise-canceling headphones, and recently replaced my Acoustic Research
AR-3 speakers with a pair of Bose bookshelf speakers.
The stereo system in my Avalanche is also Bose.

Since I don't plan to be running more than 100 watts and, most often, 5
watts, there shouldn't be a problem with RFI.
