I can't find any search references to "Spectrogram"
or how to download it on Elecraft mail BB? I guess $50 is a bit much for this retiree to invest for a sound program ...... Looks like all knowledge on BB of Spectrogram, has been sanitized? I thought there was a freeware version? Thanks, Fred N3CSY K2 # 5422 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Hi Fred and all,
I found using MixW for setting up my CW, SSB, RTTY filters much easier, using the waterfall. Its $50, but the free trial version should work fine. If you do the digital modes you will probably end up up using MixW anyway. I have a lot of the CAT commands entered as Macros in MixW. I don't even have to be near my K2 anymore, when operating digital. Steve, W2MY -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Go to Tom Hammond's web site, www.n0ss.net, scroll almost to the bottom, and
you will find a place to download the last shareware release of Spectrogram. -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Fred (FL) Sent: Thursday, May 04, 2006 8:42 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] CAL FIL & Spectrogram? I used MixW - which is my main datamode program - and in its spectrum display mode which did the job very well. MixW you can download and use free for 15 days or so, quite long enough for CAL FIL work. 73 Bob 2M0KDZ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Fred,
I ended up using the waterfall and the 7000KHz birdie. I found it easier to see where the birdie signal lay in the filter passbands. Digipan (http://www.digipan.net/) is free and has a decent waterfall display. 73 Bob 2M0KDZ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Looks like all knowledge on BB of Spectrogram, has been sanitized? I thought there was a freeware version? ----------------------- It's been shareware, not freeware. The earlier versions were no crippled in any way, but did ask you to consider paying for it if you were going to make regular us of it. Later versions started including a timer that shut it off after a few minutes unless you paid for it. A dedicated regular here, Tom Hammond, N0SS, has the last shareware version that is not crippled by the timer on his web site at: http://www.n0ss.net/ It's near the bottom of the long page, complete with instructions on how to use it to align the K2.
