I played around with PSK31 a few years ago but lost interest.  Now I'd like
to try again.  Is MixW still one of the best programs?  I see Digipan is
still free, but apparently not updated for a while.  I'd like to hear
recommendations from fellow Elecrafters.

I use MixW (never used anything else).  Only annoyance I find is that
the user interface and menus are a tad non-intuitive, possibly because
it was created by a UA and conventions differ around the planet.

 Thanks to everyone who replied to my request, both on and off the
reflector!  Doesn't seem to be any concensus, but I think I'll stick with
the latest version of Digipan (its still free!).
