CW Keying

pastormg

I have a question. My radio which was a TS-480S could be put in CW mode and I could key my microphone and then tune my antenna using a Palstar AT2K.  Can something like this be done on the K3?  Thanks for your help!!  Mark KB3Z

No need for all of that!  The XMIT button has the TUNE label under it.
Holding that button will put the rig into tune which will generate a
CW carrier.  Best of all, its power level can be set in a config menu so
that there is a consistent power level for tuning that is independent of
what the power control is set to.  It's really slick.  :-)
