CW pitch changes slightly between filters...

Steve Kallal
I just noticed the pitch a received CW signal changes slightly. The pitch is
the same for FL1 & FL2, and the same for FL3 and FL4 though different than
FL1 & FL2.  The pitch is about 10 Hz or so different.

Is this normal?

Steve,

Due to the DAC resolution, up to a 20 Hz shift can be expected.  For CW,
it is usually not a problem (just a bit of a surprise when you first
notice it), but for digital modes it can cause the stations in QSO to
'walk up the band' if you do not take countermeasures - locking the
transmit frequency in the software application is usually the best
preventive measure, you may have to retune the receive end in the
software, but the operator on the other end should not notice any change
if you have locked the transmit frequency.
