CW to DATA: Shorten Idle Transition time at end of transmission.

Mark W2OR
How might one shorten the four second automatic transition time at the end of transmission, before the K3 automatically switches back to receive?

Manual page-34 has some info on the manual way to cut the idle, or extend the idle.  I am looking only for shortening the automatic transition time, from the default four seconds, to perhaps half that time.

sorry if the answer was posted previously; I searched but couldn't find.    73 de Mark

Thanks, but that's not the answer we're looking for.  Again, the objective is to shorten the automatic four second idle time, to two seconds.  Automatic transition, is what we're looking for, not manual switchover.  73 de Mark.

I'm not aware that there is any way to shorten the length of the default idle time, except by terminating it manually. The timeout period is probably hard coded in the firmware.
