Ken,
Keep looking -- it might be stuck to one of the hardware parts or hiding
somewhere else.
One cannot rely on body colors for capacitor identification. The value
markings are the significant identifiers.
The capacitor marked '2.7' or '2p7' or '2r7' would have a value of 2.7 pf,
and you will need that value at C10 and CK - there should be 2 of them in
your kit.
C9 should be clearly marked with a '1' and will likely (but not necessarily)
be a disc ceramic (disc shaped body). - Elecraft has been packing that type
in the kits lately.
The form and markings of capacitors may vary from time to time - it depends
on the manufacturer, so the best thing is to become familiar with the
various shapes and sizes that capacitors may have. The component data
chapter of the ARRL Handbook is a good reference source. That chapter has a
lot of information on the various markings that a capacitor might have.

I just purchased the K1-4, serial #01951. Checking the capacitors for the
filter board I have a problem identifying C9 marked with "1".
I do have a small bright blue capacitor with .10 inch lead spacing with "1A"
marked on one side, and it sure looks like "2.7C" on the other side. Should
this be C9?
Thanks for any help.
