Communications to External Device

k7hbg @dslextreme.com
Hi Everybody! I have in mind a killer app for the k2  but it would
require that the K2  send an ACSII output every time a parameter was
changed from the K2 by the operator. Is the case or do my creative
juices go down in flames.
Best regards, Bob K7HBG

Bob,

Check out the KIO2 programmers reference guide (www.elecraft.com) to see
what the output really is.  It is easy to try out the commands using
HyperTerminal or some other similar program if you want to see what is
happening at the ASCII level.

There are some things like AF Gain and RF Gain settings that are strictly
analog hardware controlled and the information is not available through the
KIO2 interface.

Good luck with it - whatever this killer app may be.
