If you wish to use the K3 front panel 8-pin Foster connector with a Heil
headset you'll generally want Heil's AD-1K adapter (the red Kenwood
adapter), which also has a pigtail 1/4" phone jack intended for a
footswitch.
If the headset microphone connector has a 3.5mm TS or TRS plug (mono or
stereo), as many of Heil's headsets do, it can alternatively be plugged into
the radio's back panel MIC connector with no adapter at all.
For the PR-780, you might want their CC-1 XLR K, where K is "kenwood".
The nice behind the Heil desk will know very well what you need. Bob
usually sets up in "Audio Alley", the connecting hall that is sort of in the
middle of all the other main halls. He's a popular guy.
Enjoy Dayton!

I have a heil sound PR780 and a Traveler dual side. Could any of you advise
which connection cables should I order from Heil sound so that these mic can
be used with my K3?
BTW, will Heil sound usually offer special discount during Dayton

Thanks in advance!
