Control Board R18 and R19

Arie Lukkassen
Need some clarification:

I'm building the K2 and currently at the control board
(page 17) and need to install R18 & R19 but can not
fully understand if I also need to make short
(jumpers) above those resistors at the top side of the
board. What is the purpose of those shorts . I guess I
understand wrong or there must be a cerain reason.

Thanks for all the help.

New HAM from Tokyo.

Arie

RE: Control Board R18 and R19

Arie,

First, welcome and congratulations on becoming a new ham.

If you look at the value of R18 and R19 (on the schematic), you will find
they are zero ohms - in other words, the jumpers are the 'resistors' - you
will find no zero ohm resistors in the kit parts, simply use jumper wires.

Note that these 'resistor' jumpers will be removed if you add either the
KAF2 or the KDSP2, so consider carefully the mounting of these jumpers and
mount them on whichever side will allow the easiest removal for you.
