Crybabies - Woe is me - I have a contract

k0wa@swbell.net

Take your complaint to management....not to the list.  I am sure there are a lot of people who are tired of hearing of your shipping woes.  So you have a "contract"...  Big deal.  You knew the risk going in.  You agreed to it.  If I was Elecraft, would refund your crybaby money and tell you I would never sell you a radio in a million years.  Or, I would gold plate a K3 and ship it to you just to shut you up.  I would give it the serial number of Crybaby0001

"You" are those people who complain about their raw deal!

Get a life!

Now, lets get back to Ham Radio - having fun - and building radios.

K0WA

In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply.  If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it.  If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense.  Is Common Sense divine?

I'll simply point out to you what I pointed out to another fellow that whined
about the deleivery discussions on the list.  Some of us can NOT build due to
physical impairments...so the logic that this list is about "building" is
specious.

Those of use that don;t build, or don't workl dx, or don't backpack could all
complain about the posts on those subjects....and then, in a fit of pique label
others as buulding-babies, or backpack-babies, or fox-hunt babies...and go on
with the resot of the insults, suggestions and assine comments.

Isn't it odd that you hardly ever see that?

And so, until Elecraft tells us not to post about delivery issues, you might be
well-served to either set up a filter, or use your delete key....but most
importantly stop calling folks names.

Lee,

There is as much a problem with those who label as "cry-babies"
anyone who complains about delayed delivery or lack of useful
(and believable) delivery schedules as there is with the "when
will my K3 be shipped" postings.

The fact is that Elecraft have not made a single stated delivery
target - from the initial "July" for the first orders to,
"November" for the second production run and beyond.  Each and
every person who has ordered a K3, with or without a deposit,
deserves an accurate delivery estimate and when conditions
change they deserve a prompt and believable update.  However,
all many are getting are infrequent postings about more delays
or the comment that at current shipping rates it will be the
end of March before the backlog is cleared.

There are folks on this list who relied on shipping commitments
and sold their other radios and are now off the air.  There are
others who counted on having their K3 in time for a vacation or
DXedition, there are others who are watching their existing
radios depreciate by the day but don’t want to sell them because
they do not know when they will get the long overdue K3.  There
are those who have development projects ready to go for K3
accessories or software but are on hold due to the excessive
delay and lack of clarity.

All anybody is asking for is a useful and believable shipping
schedule/commitment.

73,

   ... Joe, W4TV

Fine ... BUT THIS EMAIL REFLECTOR IS NOT THE PLACE TO ASK!!!

None of us on the reflector can help -- you must contact Elecraft.

I checked on my order about 6 weeks ago, and I probably will ask again
in mid January since I don't want to slow down progress in Aptos.

Mark
