DSP board

G0HVS
I'm thinking of getting the KDSP2.  I already have a
KAF2, but am looking at playing with DSP, as a bit of
a technical challenge.  Am I right in thinking that
the DSP board is the DSPx used in the DSP 10 2m
software defined radio?  Also, how easy is it to swap
out the DSP board to use it in a DSP 10, if it is the
same?

Thanks
Dave

The DSPx module used in the KDSP2 accessory may use the ADSP-2184N or
the ADSP-2185N DSP chip. The -2184 has less memory than the -2185, but
has more than enough for the KDSP2 application.

The DSPx module sold for experimentation always uses the ADSP-2185N.

The code in the Flash memory is different, and the DSP chip, as noted
above, may be different.
