I'm looking into actually attending Dayton for the
first time ever. Will there be many folks from the reflector there this year? 73, Julius n2wn PS: Thanks to all the Elecrafters (and non) on this reflector worked on 160 this past weekend. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. I'll be there. I used www.hamtestonline.com to get my Extra class ticket in
less than a month and raved about it so much that they invited me to work their booth for a few hours in exchange for a hotel room. Can't beat that deal. :-) Craig NZ0R K1 #1966 K2/100 #4941 -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of J F Sent: Monday, January 30, 2006 8:39 AM To: Elecraft Discussion List Subject: [Elecraft] Dayton I'm looking into actually attending Dayton for the first time ever. I will be there Julius, and will have an indoor booth this year. Don't know the booth number yet. I will have a number of kits there, including several wattmeters (QRP and otherwise), my remote base station control hardware and software and (hopefully) a new microprocessor/DDS based panadapter kit that will work with any IF frequency. It will be connected to my K2. All the kits are aimed at Elecraft style builders except the panadapter, which will be mostly SMD. My LP-100 wattmeter kit, which is featured in the current issue of QEX, will be featured at the booth, and will have a new killer feature that no wattmeter currently on the market has. I'm very excited about Dayton this year ;-) You can see more info on my projects on my website, www.telepostinc.com 73, Larry N8LP J F wrote: >I'm looking into actually attending Dayton for the >first time ever. Hi Julius:
I'll be there (only missed two Daytons in the past 34 years). Will be at FDIM on Thursday and then helping out at the elecraft booth for a couple hours on Friday and Saturday. 73, Tom N0SS At 08:39 AM 1/30/2006, you wrote: >I'm looking into actually attending Dayton for the >first time ever. I'll also be at Dayton (and FDIM, well worth the time).

I'm not going to Dayton / FDIM this year, I've settled my calendar on
Friedrichshafen and the RSGB HF Convention. It would be great to see an Elecraft stand at Friedrichshafen. I'm thinking about an Elecraft software-related presentation at the RSGB HF Convention but this is very much in the vapourware stage at the moment. As a poor European programmer I can either buy the fully-loaded K2 or attend Dayton but not both! My experience in 2005 was that the US has become very expensive, especially hotels. So I'm saving my money for now and looking forward to the beer and Wurst at Friedrichshafen. Simon Brown --- http://blog.hb9drv.ch/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Clark B. I must say you made the proper decision......the K2 will last forever...FDIM

It would probably them good to taste some decent beer :-)
They could bring some of the new toys, then we could rally put a fine presentation together. One day later - a slot is reserved at the RSGB HF Convention for an Elecraft / Software presentation. For anyone who hasn't been to the RSGB HF Convention it really is excellent - the best event I have been to in my 30+ years as a radio amateur. It far exceeded my expectations. Last year's program: http://www.rsgb.org/hfc/draft_programme.htm Very easy to get to, free bus to the hotel from London's Gatwick airport, bar is not too expensive (beer at GBP 1.50 a pint), free WiFi internet - what more could you want?
