Evening all,
Was working cw ok on 40m throughout the afternoon.
Everything appeared to be ok. Sudden deafness of the receiver occurred. It is
apparent on all frequencies. Antenna is ok since sigs on spare Icom 8500
receiver with same antenna are loud and clear. For example, I can hear radio
China (?) on 7.120 at 9+30 on the Icom but only around S5 on the K3. Ham
signals are almost inaudible. Again loud and clear on the Icom
I have tried connecting another antenna to the Rx Ant port
with no noticeable improvement. Also, have connected an antenna to Antenna 2 –
No difference. I dumped the parameters and re-loaded them – no change.
RF Gain up full. CONFIG SQ MAIN set to ‘00’
ATT off
Any ideas please?
