OK, I'll admit it. I'm more excited about this radio than any piece
of gear I can remember in the last 10 years. This little radio is going to be a huge success for Elecraft. We are all going to have to try to think about something else for the next 6 months! And so, I think Eric and the guys should make the most of this. I'd consider doing two things: Take deposits as soon as possible, but make it a lottery. Open the first "window" and all deposits received in that week are in the lottery. The gal at the front desk picks the envelopes out at random and the results are posted. After that, all orders received are filled in the order they are received. You can do a window, or you can cut it off at the number of radios produced in the first run. Secondly, I'd make a "bundle" price for three configurations...upgrade packages. The discount needs only be $50 or so once you exceed around $1200. You know you are going to buy those filters and options! Guys- pre-address your envelopes! I was thinking of asking about making a deposit on one just yesterday. I
whole heartedly agree with this plan! 73, Kevin. KD5ONS On Sat, 30 Jul 2011 15:17:47 -0700, <[hidden email]> wrote: > OK, I'll admit it.
