Dial setting 60m digital frequencies?

KEN-3
With the new ability to use PSK31 on the 60m channels, I am uncertain about how to get on the proper frequency.   FCC only allows operation on precisely the center of the channel (e.g. 5405.0).

As best as I can tell, for 1500 Hz audio, the K3 should be set for the CW frequency +0.625 kHz in reverse Data mode (or the SSB channel frequency +2.125.)   Channel 5 (5405.0) would require setting the K3 dial to 5405.625 with the PSK signal at 1500 Hz.  Channel 2 (5348 center frequency) requires setting the K3 dial to 5348.625 Data Rev.

Can anyone confirm my calculations?

Tnx,

Your calculations appear to be based on using AFSK A - REV (USB) with a
Pitch setting of 2125 Hz. The probability of error is very high using
such a difficult choice. Use DATA A instead; it's much simpler. I can
see no reason to use AFSK A (normal or reverse) in this situation unless
you really enjoy making life difficult for yourself.

In DATA A, set the dial to the same setting you would use for SSB (1.5
kHz below the channel centre) and use 1500 Hz audio.

If you were doing PSK31 with CW paddles and no computer, you would use
PSK D, and in that case you would tune the dial to the channel centre,
the same as in CW. On receive your audio would be at 1010 Hz.

Rich,

Thank you very much!    I've only had the K3 for a couple of months and I'm still learning!  That was an area I had totally missed!
