Digital Input Pin?

I was looking for a way to automatically reduce power when operating on batteries. It seems like another transceiver I once owned had a pin that, when grounded would reduce output power to conserve batteries.
I don't see any handy way to do this with the K3, other than crank down the power...
It looks like all the ACC pins are defined, so except for making one of them a programmable I/O pin, I think I'm out of luck. Is there anyone else interested in a programmable input pin that could be tied to a macro command?
