Digital modes interface for K2 - recommendations sought.

I'm looking into digital modes such as Contestia or Olivia.  Would anyone be able to suggest a suitable interface K2 <-> PC for the experiment?

 I'm currently using fldigi on a PC and a web cam microphone to copy cw over the K2 speaker.  It works, after a fashion.

Chris,

Not a full solution, but you may want to look at the K2 Fixed Audio
Output on my website www.w3fpr.com.  There are no boards left and no
kits available, but the circuit is simple to wire on perfboard - it is
all audio frequencies and nothing is critical - just a simple LM386
audio amplifier

I can vouch for and highly recommend the circuit on Don's website.  I built one
several years ago and  installed it in my K2. I wired it to unused pins in the
mic connector so  I only had one cable to deal with when
connecting/disconnecting. I've  made many PSK and RTTY contacts using it.

I was fortunate enough to get one of the last PC boards, but as Don says, it
would be a simple matter to build it on perf board or "dead bug" style.

Works great!

I built Don's fixed audio output on perfboard--very easy to do and works well.  I coupled it with a Tigertronics SignaLink for a clen, compact solution.

Don's fixed level audio output is "what the doctor ordered" for digital
receive.  Couple that with a small SPDT reed relay to switch audio
input between the mic and a separate AFSK/PSK/JT65A/etc audio input and
drive the relay with a "Digital PTT" input and you have the complete "no
cable swapping" solution.
